Iknoor Khaira

AI and Digital Technology Co-Chair

A young leader passionate about digital governance, Iknoor Khaira has been actively involved in conversations on the emerging roles of AI and digital technology in global affairs.

While completing her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Ottawa, Iknoor presented strategies on navigating political communication and disinformation in the digital age at the International Association for Political Science Students’ World Congress in Athens, Greece. Committed to advancing gender equality and youth leadership in digital policymaking, she represented Canadian youth at the United Nations’ 67th Session for the Commission on the Status of Women. During this session, she spoke on a panel about the impact of online harm on the political participation of young women and girls.

Iknoor is also fascinated by how AI and digital technologies shape our global economy. As a youth policy maker for the Ontario Council for International Cooperation, helping facilitate trade-related conversations among foreign representatives and Canadian business leaders, she reflected on how digital transformation efforts can increase access to global markets, foster skills development, and strengthen supply chain resilience, contributing to sustainable and inclusive growth. She is excited to help shape vital discussions about our technologically-advancing world as Co-Chair for the AI and Digital Technology track at Y7 2025.
